President Riccardo Maira has spoken during our last Press Conference at Ducezio Palace (City of Noto, Italy)
“Our commitment towards promoting Education, Art-making in all its forms and Culture in the global community is our raison d’être. We operate using a collaboration-based model and we encourage the artistic community, including our own artists, to adopt this model. We believe this model is where the future of the Arts lies”, Moveo International's President Riccardo Maira said during last Friday’s Press Conference at the Ducezio Baroque Palace, in the City of Noto (Italy), while addressing the need of bringing the artistic community to work and collaborate together, fostering inclusiveness while building intercultural bridges in an attempt to bring the Arts at the heart of our society once again.
Check out our New York City soloists' visit at the Consulate General of Italy in New York this morning (June 4, 2019) where they have been invited to represent our Moveo International Music Performance Program 2019. We look forward to hosting them in occasion of our Performance Program the coming June in the Baroque City of Noto, Italy.
Mezzo-Soprano Kayla Faccilongo (picture on the left) in regards to her visit said:
"Such an honor to represent Moveo International Performance Program at the Italian Consulate this morning. @ianjoyal and I attended a press conference for an artistic festival called Infiorata di Noto (The Flower Festival of Noto). We learned more about the culture of the gorgeous city where we will be singing in June and about the beautiful process that Sicilian artists go through in May to create colorful works of art on the streets of Noto using over 400,000 flower petals.
Being a guest at this conference was so inspiring because of the emphasis on international bonds between the Sicilian region and America. Although our program will take place after the festival, being exposed to the art and community of Noto today made me all the more passionate about creating art there in return.
While art is certainly an expression of the individual, it is also a chance to take a glimpse at the world through the eyes of others and feel united in the human experiences we all share.
This is one of my favorite things about being a singer and why I am so excited and grateful to be participating in the Moveo International Program this year. Collaborating and making music with talented artists from my own community and from all over the world is such an invaluable opportunity and I simply cannot wait."
Moveo International is calling for new works of Art (Paintings, small Installations, Sculptures, etc.) to be displayed on our official website.
This year's themes for our Art Exhibition are: 1) Art generating Art; 2) Immigration; 3) The Messina Earthquake (1908) and the emigration to the United States.
Moveo International is calling for new works of Poetry & Prose (in either English, Italian or Sicilian) to be showcased on our website and publicly presented alongside with selected works of Art from our Exhibition.
This year's themes for our session are:
- Art generating Art
- The Messina Earthquake (1908) and the emigration to the United States
